Digital Hands Expands Role in “Bit9 + Carbon Black Connect” Alliance Program by Becoming Incident Response (IR) Partner

Already an MSSP Partner, Digital Hands now uses Carbon Black to expand its IR services and respond to advanced threats in seconds

WALTHAM, Mass.—December 2, 2014—Bit9® + Carbon Black®, the leader in endpoint threat prevention, detection and response, today announced that Digital Hands, a leading managed security services provider (MSSP), is expanding its role in the “Bit9 + Carbon Black Connect” Alliance Program by becoming an incident response partner. Digital Hands joined the “Connect” program last month as an MSSP partner (see Nov. 5, 2014 news release.)

As a “Connect” IR partner, Digital Hands uses Carbon Black to help its customers remediate cyber attacks and breaches. As the team identifies malicious files used to execute an attack, they use Carbon Black to pinpoint each endpoint and server on which malware has landed and reveal the entire “kill chain” of the attack, so responders can quickly see where and how the attack started. This enhanced visibility enables Digital Hands to move rapidly to contain attacks and accelerate remediation efforts.

“Incident response is a critical component to any information security program,” said Mark Geary, Digital Hands’ chief services officer. “Our managed services teams have seen outstanding results using Carbon Black for our customers. Now, we’re thrilled to expand our IR capabilities by taking advantage of everything Carbon Black has to offer.”

Digital Hands uses both vendor and industry-certified technical staff leveraging the cloud to provide award-winning around-the-clock protection for both public and private organizations. The company provides custom services to meet unique client needs and proactively reduces end-user impacting events while holistically protecting critical information technology systems and data.

“Carbon Black further empowers Digital Hands’ experts to detect, respond to and remediate threats as they happen,” said Tom Barsi, vice president of business development for Bit9 + Carbon Black. “Since their team is quite familiar with all of the capabilities and benefits Carbon Black delivers, this expanded partnership will enable the Digital Hands IR professionals to bring immediate value to their customers.”
