VMware’s Desktop Virtualization Products Win Visual Studio Magazine’s 2008 Readers Choice Awards

VMware Workstation Wins in the Development Tools Category; VMware ACE Honored with a Merit Award in the Security and Copy Protection category

PALO ALTO, Calif., August 4, 2008— VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW) the global leader in virtualization solutions from the desktop to the datacenter, today announced that it has received two Reader’s Choice Awards from Visual Studio Magazine.  VMware Workstation is honored with in the Development Tools category from Visual Studio Magazine, and VMware ACE in the Security and Copy Protection category.  The 2008 winners, which will appear in this month’s issue, distinguish excellent software products in 22 categories.

  • Editors Choice Award, given to products that shows special merit or innovation, but don’t fit comfortably into the standard categories
