More than 1,600 people On Hand to Hear Market Leader Outline Plans to Accelerate Deployment of VMware Virtual Infrastructure

PALO ALTO, Calif., November 17, 2004 —VMware, Inc., the global leader in virtual infrastructure software for industry-standard systems, welcomed more than 1,600 attendees from 27 countries at its first annual user conference, VMworld 2004.

Under the theme, "Join the Virtual Evolution," participants gathered in San Diego at VMworld 2004 to focus on building and deploying virtual infrastructure solutions that address challenges faced by IT professionals. Each day consisted of general sessions, breakout sessions and hands-on workshops led by VMware technical experts, customers, product managers, consultants and partners —and featured real-world examples of how VMware software and virtual infrastructure are transforming the enterprise. Keynote addresses by executives from VMware, Dell, HP, IBM and Intel were all daily highlights for attendees.
