VMware to Host Financial Analyst Day

PALO ALTO, Calif., August 15, 2011 —VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), the global leader in virtualization and cloud infrastructure, today unveiled the speaker lineup and sponsorship list for the leading virtualization and cloud infrastructure industry event of the year, VMworld® 2011.

Underscoring the conference theme, "Your Cloud, Own It," VMworld 2011 in Las Vegas will feature more than 175 unique breakout sessions from VMware and its ecosystem of partners and customers that are driving innovation in the virtualization and cloud computing industry. More than 250 sponsors and exhibitors are supporting the conference including Global Diamond sponsors Cisco, Dell, EMC, HP and NetApp, and Platinum Sponsors AMD, Brocade, CA Technologies, Dell Storage, F5 Networks, IBM, Intel, LG Electronics, Symantec, Trend Micro, VCE and Wyse Technology.

VMware executives will lead two general session presentations during the event. On Monday, Aug. 29 at 3:30 p.m. PDT the event will kick off with a keynote presentation featuring VMware CEO Paul Maritz and an inside look at the forces shaping Cloud Computing and the next generation of IT. On Tuesday, Aug. 30 at 8 a.m. PDT VMware CTO and Senior Vice President of R&D Steve Herrod will demonstrate the industry's first comprehensive cloud infrastructure suite, including VMware vSphere® 5, as well as cutting-edge technologies helping enterprises better serve their employees in a world of increasing change. Also on Aug. 30 at 10 a.m. PDT, VMware will host its Financial Analyst Day, an informative and in-depth program for the investment community with presentations about company strategy and product direction.  This event will be presented via a webcast at: http://ir.vmware.com/.

VMworld 2011 will feature more than 20 lab topics with 18,000 lab seats conducting up to 480 simultaneous lab sessions during the four-day event. In addition, this year VMworld connects attendees directly with subject-matter authorities through the Knowledge Experts Program. These highly respected members of the VMware community – composed of customers, bloggers and VMware employees – will conduct and participate in breakout sessions and group discussions. They'll also be available for one-on-one meetings and more casual discussions as they circulate throughout the conference.
