OVERLAND PARK, Kan. November 12, 2002-- TSANet (Technical Support Alliance Network), the industry's largest vendor-neutral support alliance, today announced that TSANet member Mostafa Khalil from VMware won the Best Class Award for his in-depth exploration of "Virtual Machine Technology" at the TSANet Fall Multivendor Training Event held in San Diego, California, October 13-16. Attendees rate classes for content, usefulness, speaker's knowledge and overall style and quality. Second place was awarded to Matthew Culver from Novell with NetWare 6. Steve Gragert from LSI Logic and Anurag Pareek from BEA tied for third place: to support his Storage Overview topic, Steve assembled a pair of E4600 storage arrays in a heterogeneous Storage Area Network (SAN); Anurag's topic was Weblogic Workshop.

"Since its inception in 1993, TSANet has been holding multivendor training events to bring together its member companies to train each other in new products and technologies," said Dennis Smeltzer, executive director of TSANet. At this most recent event, 57 people attended from 20 different member companies. This event not only provides attendees a venue to learn but also the opportunity to interact with their peers on a social basis.
