Awards Alison Hettrick with Complimentary Lifetime License to VMware Workstation

Palo Alto, Calif., March 6, 2002 -- VMware, Inc., the leading provider of virtual computing software for industry-standard computers, today announced that it has awarded Alison Hettrick with a complimentary lifetime license to VMware Workstation as special recognition for being the 1,000,000th registered user of its virtualization software.

"With VMware Workstation, our systems engineers preparing for sales calls will be able to create powerful and compelling demos in a much shorter period of time," said Alison Hettrick, systems engineer in the Solution Center at webMethods. "I'll look forward to putting the free license to good use building demonstrations for use in our Solution Center initiatives."

VMware Workstation lets technical professionals working in development, quality assurance, technical support, corporate training and sales and marketing run all the applications they need, regardless of operating system, on a single PC. As a result, professionals are able to spend less time configuring hardware, installing software, and rebooting or reconfiguring systems - and more time developing, testing, and deploying applications and delivering support.
