VMware Ranks No. 1 in Worldwide Cloud Cost Transparency Software

(NYSE: VMW) today announced that leading analyst firm IDC has ranked VMware No. 1 in worldwide cloud cost transparency software based on IDC calculations of calendar year 2020 revenues.(1) As cloud adoption continues, cloud spending and transparency are top focus areas for enterprises. This recognition demonstrates VMware’s commitment to helping enterprises find cost-effective ways to maximize cloud usage and efficiency.

According to the report, in 2020, VMware led in the worldwide cloud cost transparency software competitive space.

The report credits VMware’s top position again for 2020 to its dedication to keep up with IDC noted that VMware acquired CloudHealth and its 3,000+ existing customers in 2018. According to IDC, VMware successfully matched CloudHealth's customer base with its enterprise relationships.
