VMware Accelerates Enterprise Transformation, partners with INET Thailand to accelerate cloud adoption and innovation for Digital Transformation
INET Thailand is first VMware cloud provider in Thailand to offer VMware HCX Cloud Services for Cloud Migration, App Mobility and Infrastructure Hybridity
BANGKOK, THAILAND – April 2, 2019 – VMware, Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, today announced INET Thailand, a leading ICT infrastructure provider in Thailand, to offer VMware HCX Cloud Services to organizations in Thailand. As the first VMware Cloud Provider in Thailand to offer the service, INET will empower organizations to transform legacy on-premises data centres into modern, multi-cloud environments for quicker app delivery and accelerated go-to-market.
In line with the Thailand 4.0 vision, many Thai organizations are quickening their pace of digitalization and modernizing legacy IT systems. Information technology services spending in Thailand saw an increase of 9.2% to reach 92.6 billion baht in 2018 (1), according to research firm IDC. At the same time, public cloud spending in the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan is expected to grow exponentially at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32.58% (2) between 2016 to 2021. VMware’s partnership with INET is set to advance Thailand’s 4.0 blueprint further by riding on the shift towards hybrid- and multi-cloud environments, thereby enabling Thai organizations to embrace innovation and operate at scale.
VMware HCX enables organizations to undertake large-scale migration from legacy on-premises data centre (DC) environments to modern architectures seamlessly and more securely. With the HCX cloud service, workloads can be migrated both to and from the cloud without any modification at the source, and app mobility equates to interoperability across varied software and hardware environments. Security is enabled through sophisticated hybrid networking and replication, as well as disaster recovery capabilities. Furthermore, the ability to perform live migration with zero to low-downtime also means that organizations can continue to run on a business-as-usual basis.
