First to offer multi-tenancy on VMware for Public Cloud, Macrologic is set to boost post-pandemic recovery by enabling a flexible business environment for SMBs to further business innovation and resilience

PHILIPPINES – April 15, 2021 – VMware, Inc., a leading innovator in enterprise software, today announced its partnership with Macrologic, a cloud provider in the Philippines, to offer a cloud-first data center facility for small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the country. Macrologic is the first VMware Cloud Provider in the Philippines to offer multi-tenancy on the VMware for Public Cloud offering and VMware Cloud Provider Program (VCPP) on Cloud. As such, it will empower Filipino organizations to transform legacy on-premises data centers into modern, multi-cloud environments for quicker app delivery and accelerated go-to-market.

Powered by VMware, Macrologic will enable the country’s SMB ecosystem across key industry verticals with greater resilience, scalability and security, accelerating their growth in a digital-first business environment.

SMBs serve as the driving force of the Philippines’ economic growth, accounting for 99.5% of all businesses[1]. However, uncertainties brought forth by the Covid-19 pandemic, mean Filipino SMBs have to transform their business models to meet dynamic customer demands. Forward-thinking Filipino enterprises are now adopting a digital-first approach as they transition to a cloud-first environment for greater agility and scalability, while maintaining robust security measures to better safeguard business and customer information. Leveraging cloud technologies, SMBs are better able to save cost, improve business continuity and reduce business limitations – critical factors in fueling continued growth in an uncertain macroeconomic environment.

“The great reset in the Philippines’ business environment is elevating the need for SMBs to harness cloud to respond, adapt, and accelerate to a digital-first environment,” said Walter So, country manager, VMware Philippines. “We’re always excited to work with forward-thinking organizations such as Macrologic as we look toward building an agile economy in today’s digital-first landscape. To enable SMBs in their transformation journeys, Macrologic has boosted their cloud capabilities and service delivery to provide the speed, agility, and scalability that they require. Through this partnership, I am confident that we are now a step closer to helping the SMB ecosystem and the Philippines stay resilient and move faster toward economic recovery.”

Strong customer traction across key industry verticals such as education, pharmaceutical, food & beverage, as well as architecture reflect the growing importance Filipino enterprises attach to cloud technologies, as they future proof their businesses for growth and recovery. These include SYSU International, Getz Bros. Philippines and International Pharmaceutical Inc.

As the first VMware partner in the Philippines to offer multi-tenancy on VMware for Public Cloud offering and VMware Cloud Provider Program (VCPP) on Cloud, Macrologic provides SMBs with the services needed to run VMware workloads on SAP s4 HANA. This helps empower their business transformation from harnessing huge volumes of real-time data to perform real-time analytics, transaction execution and data processing. Addressing costs as a barrier to the move to cloud, the SAP model as Software-as-a-service (SaaS) provides SMBs with the option to customize their capacity in the cloud and tap on the dynamic scalability of the cloud to meet their organizational needs.

In addition, Macrologic has achieved the Master Services Competency Data Center Virtualization.

“With the Philippines on the trajectory to becoming one of the biggest digital economies in the region, businesses will need the speed, agility, and economics to handle the growing volume and velocity of data, and build their resilience in the new digital era. Already, we are seeing positive customer adoption across key industry verticals in the Philippines. With VMware’s world-class solutions and our certified engineers, we can better support SMBs in strengthening their digital foundation and accelerating their cloud journeys,” said Arman Menta, president, Macrologic.
