Olga Specjalska appointed to lead VMware’s evolving A/NZ partner organisation

SYDNEY, Australia — May 11, 2021 –– VMware Inc. (NYSE: VMW), a leading innovator in enterprise software, is evolving its partner business in Australia and New Zealand to add greater value to the local ecosystem and empower partners to meet the changing needs of customers as they transform. A significant part of this evolution includes a new leader for the partner business and a new team to focus on services partnerships.

Olga Specjalska takes on the leadership role of Director, Partner Business for VMware in Australia and New Zealand, to drive the continuing evolution of the ecosystem and deepen VMware’s engagement with partners and joint customers. In this role, Olga leads the team responsible for all aspects of VMware's ecosystem go-to-market program in Australia and New Zealand. This includes distribution, global systems integrators and outsourcing, OEMs, solution providers, services partnerships, partner readiness and business development.

Olga has a decade of experience within VMware, across several markets in APJ. During this time, she has repeatedly taken on roles requiring significant transformation and growth. Most recently she spent three years as Marketing Director for VMware in A/NZ, where she rebuilt and led the marketing organization through a significant transformative period. During this time, Olga drove a customer-centric marketing strategy through multiple acquisitions which involved the integration of new marketing organisations and transformed the go-to-market strategy to support VMware's business transition to a SaaS-based model.

Prior to this, Olga was focused on delivering strategic value for VMware'€™s enterprise customers, as well leading regional strategy for demand-generation and sales acceleration.

As part of the evolution of the VMware A/NZ partner business, a new team will be established to focus on global services partnerships.

Anthony Clarke moves into the newly created role of Director, Services-led Partnerships, reporting into Olga Specjalska. In this role, Anthony will partner with VMware’s services-led partners such as Accenture, Deloitte and others, to help our mutual customers realise greater value and opportunities for innovation via effective cloud strategies and building modern applications.

Anthony has more than 30 years of experience in technology and business leadership roles in Australia and the UK. During this time, his focus has been on establishing and building businesses and consulting practices to meet customers’ strategic technology needs. Most recently, Anthony spent three years leading VMware’s Tanzu (formerly Pivotal) business in Australia and New Zealand. Before joining the VMware Tanzu team, he held a range of roles focused on delivering value to customers and partners with organisations including Dynatrace/Compuware, Hitachi, Sun Microsystems/StorageTek and IBM.
